Dr. Seuss

Could I be reading too much Dr. Seuss? He seems to have been inspiring me.

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”
~Dr. Seuss

He's even leaving his mark in the details.
“Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

I always have my hands in a billion things. Being a wife, raising my amazing daughter, running a business, and trying to give back to the community.

One of my latest endeavors is something that I am truly proud of. Flora has an agreement with Meals on Wheels and will be recycling jars for vases, recycling flowers from events and making arrangements then delivering them to Meals on Wheels where they will distribute them to home bound elderly. Yippee! I feel soooo good that Flora is giving back to her community.

Dear Melissa Thomas, (aka flora)

On behalf of home bound, elderly people that Meals on Wheels services in Asheville and Buncombe County, I'd like to thank you for your thoughtfulness in making plans to donate flowers to our clients. This is a creative way to spread the joy of your events with others across our community!

Thank you for remembering our seniors!

There is also a non-profit that I am excited to be associated with called Second bloom. Check them out, I love what they are doing! They rely on individual donations and grants for their funding. So please consider a tax-deductible donation and visit their website and go to their 'Bloom Bucks' page
